WE SHOULD BE PROUD OF...

"TATAG WIKANG FILIPINO, LAKAS NG PAGKA-PILIPINO"

There are lots of languages in this world. A thousand, perhaps. Language serves as a tool for us to communicate with each other and to share our ideas and feelings to everyone. Without this, there will be no discussions and imagine. So God gave us language for us to understand each other.
We are known to be Filipinos because of our national language. And in celebration for the “Buwan ng Wika”, we should know how to care and value our own language.
Modern technology had began far enough to technologically improve people’s way of living. One of the technologies is the cellphone, this gadget had influenced people especially teenagers here in the Philippines. They are fun of texting using this and because of that, “jejemon” had banged in the news, papers, television news and adds. As we all know, jejemon is a contradictory of using our language right. Just like the words “po” turned to “powhzxs”, “sige” to “cgue”. This bad trait shows that our Filipino language is not firmly established. This is one reason why writing and reading skills of students are getting low. Sometimes, there are Filipinos who almost forget using our own language because of having their vacation to the other country. This proves that they don’t love their own country and our own language. We should be thankful to our ancestors who sacrificed their lives for us to have our national language. Because of this, we can understand each other.
Instead of using the language of other country, why not just use our own language? We should be proud of our nationality. We are not known to be Filipinos if we do not use our own language. We should establish the use of our Filipino language s that our nationality will be strong. We should be proud that we are Filipinos, we should be proud that we are using Filipino language!

I HAVE LEARNED...

I HAVE LEARNED...

I was afraid in stepping forward. But I have to face… I am now a senior student.  It seems like yesterday I just took my first step but now almost two months have already passed.  And first quarter soon to end. I have learned a lot already, but as always, there are circumstances.
My knowledge became wider because of the informations and knowledge our teachers fed us.  At first, I was afraid because I know our lessons now are harder.   But I tried my best.   And now I have learned many things.   In our ICT class, I have discovered the excitement in learning BLOG.   It was first time to create my blog account and to enter its world.   Blog serves as personal-online diary.   My friends can read my posts and can leave comments.  I have also learned more about Internet.  Meeting new formulas; knowing how fast a body moves; finding solutions to a certain problem, etc.  Behind these learnings, I have encountered also challenges.   Just like when I can’t follow with the discussion because I can’t understand the lesson.  And as a result, I got few in our some tests/activities; and sometimes I can’t answer the question when my teacher letting me recites.  That makes me disappointed with myself.  So, to level up myself, I studied harder.  I reviewed our lessons, took advance reading and let myself be ready always, so that I am always prepared in unannounced quizzes.
Moving on, I will strive harder.  I will discipline myself so that I can do all my works.  And I will listen attentively to the discussion of my teachers.  I will be more active and I will study harder.

SONA 2012

SONA 2012

“It wasn’t too long ago when we began to dream again, when united, we chose the straight and righteous path; when we began to cast aside the culture f wang-wang, not only in our streets, but in every sector of society,” President Benigno S. C. Aquino III stated in his third State of the Nation Address (SONA) last July 23, 2012.
It has been two years since we restored a government, whom we knew can make changes. But we can’t feel yet the progress that we are hoping for.  We are tired of corruption and of poverty.  When will our dreams come true?  PNoy said that they are building an environment where progress can be felt by the majority.  His goal is to have a sustained economic development and poverty reduction.  To reduce poverty, he implemented programs such as state health insurance, scholarship and other programs for indigents.  Mothers now get regular checkups, children have been vaccinated and students no longer need to miss school because of poverty.  Poorest PhilHealth members can enter any government hospital and get treatment without having to shell out single centavo.  They are also ensuring that our economy’s newfound vitality generates job. They produced jobs so that our fellow Filipinos can have their own jobs.  So, the unemployment rate went from 8% to 7.2%.  They have fixed more than roads so that traffic will be lessen.  Business and the economy of the Philippines are improving as evidenced by a boom in investors and new businesses.
Two years have passed, maybe majority of us can’t feel the progress.  But I know that our president      is trying his best to fulfil his responsibilities.   He said that we will take the straight and righteous path.  We are hoping that the changes we are hoping will come true before his administration will end.  He has more time to improve and solve the problems left by the previous administration.  We are hoping for the improvement of the economy, success in the anti-corruption campaign, modernization of the AFP, better governance and many others.  We are holding your promises. The betterment and progress of our country is in your hands.  Words are not enough, do your words for the progress.
